Blackstone River Valley

Shopkeepers Dawn Sherry and Helga Artale,

who met on the craft fair circuit several years ago,
were able to realize a life-long dream this past spring.

After many months of hard work, especially from husbands Noel and Peter, Bittersweet Hollow was bom. A large empty space was transformed into an inviting, cozy shop filled with country treasures.

Downtown Uxbridge, Massachusetts

The Bemat Mill Complex in downtown Uxbridge proved to be the perfect location for the new shop with its eclectic mix of stores and businesses. The revitalized mill comes complete with high ceilings, rustic wood floors, antique fixtures and its very own fish pond. Bittersweet Hollow has evolved over the past few months into the perfect mix of country and primitive decor. While those special one-of-a-kind items change frequently, the shop is always well stocked with popular decorating necessities such as garlands, picks, candle rings, tinware, linens, pictures, baskets, braided rugs, and lots and lots of candles and special gift items.

Warm, Friendly Customer Service

The emphasis at Bittersweet Hollow is on warm, friendly customer service and reasonable prices. New merchandise arrives weekly, including handmade furniture, lovingly crafted primitive dolls and "critters" from local artisans. Dawn, a decorative primitive artist, and Helga, an avid cross stitcher, contribute their own work as well. Come visit this festive primitive site, enjoy all the sights, scents and wonders, from Santa's to snowmen to snowflakes and more ornaments than you can imagine! From country to primitive, there is something for everyone.
